Ingredients to Avoid:
🚫 1. Fragrance (Parfum)
Why avoid: Can contain undisclosed phthalates and allergens; linked to hormone disruption and skin irritation.
🚫 2. Parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben, etc.)
Why avoid: Used as preservatives; may disrupt hormones and have been detected in breast tissue.
🚫 3. Petrolatum
Why avoid: May be contaminated with PAHs (carcinogens) if not refined properly. A petroleum bi-product.
🚫 4. Mineral Oil
Why avoid: Like petrolatum, may be contaminated with harmful substances unless purified to pharmaceutical grade.
🚫 5. Phenoxyethanol
Why avoid: A preservative that can cause skin irritation and potentially affect the nervous system in infants in high doses.
🚫 6. Propylene Glycol (PEGs)
Why avoid: Can irritate sensitive skin and may increase absorption of other chemicals.
🚫 7. Talc
Why avoid: May be contaminated with asbestos; linked to respiratory issues and potential carcinogenic risks.
🚫 8. BHA / BHT
Why avoid: Synthetic antioxidants used as preservatives; linked to endocrine disruption and organ toxicity.
🚫 9. Sodium Borate / Boric Acid
Why avoid: Toxic to the reproductive system and not safe for use on infant skin.
🚫 10. Lanolin (non-purified)
Why avoid: Can contain pesticide residues unless it's certified organic and ultra-purified.
